Application Review & Approve

As applications come in, the funding body’s Assessment Panel members view each submitted application, score them against the selected review criteria, and make approval / rejection decisions. This step is followed by Program Manager approval of each application. This entire process should be completed by the Review Completion Date

There are several ways to get started on this step:

  • When an application is submitted, you will receive an email notification. Click the link in the email to go straight to the Review & Approve stage in your SurePact account.
  • When an application is submitted, the relevant task is listed in your Homepage Tasks
  • Open your Funding Programs summary and double-click the funding opportunity, which should open to the Review & Approve stage.

Summary cards above the Application list enable you to keep track of overall review progress. The first three list the numbers of applications received, and numbers approved or rejected by the Program Manager.

Scrolling to the right, cards list funds available, total funds requested in submitted applications, funds requested in applications reviewed by the Program Manager, and funds approved from approved or shortlisted applications.

In the Applications table, each application is listed with its organisation and primary contact, status and review progress, date the completed application was received, amount requested, and assessment score.

An application can have one of the following statuses:

  • Sent: Applicant has been invited (closed selection process)
  • Received: An invited applicant has viewed program details, but has not yet submitted their application.
  • In Progress: Applicant has completed and submitted their application; funding body team is reviewing
  • Approved / Rejected: Final application decision by Program Manager
  • Shortlisted: For a multi-round application process, this field indicates whether the applicant will proceed to the next round

Important: The maximum Score value equals the number of total points in the review criteria template multiplied by the number of Assessment Panel members. In this example, the review criteria template has a total of 28 points, and there are two Assessment Panel members. Therefore, each application can have a maximum score of 56.
