Summary
SurePact version 8 continues to focus on the Grantmaker experience, making the first two stages of the workflow simpler and more useful to publish a funding opportunity and manage received applications.
The Applicant experience (in relation to Funding Programs) also receives the gifts of the Grantmaker experience, ensuring an application submission is complete with supporting information and simple functionality.
New Features
Improved Funding Program workflow
- Grantmakers receive a workflow that departs from the numbered stages to a more familiar structure. The Application Round workflow stage has just enough definition to ensure all relevant details are communicated to Applicants.
Application Rounds - in series
- Need to shortlist Applicants over one or more Application Rounds? Funding Bodies can define multiple rounds in series to shortlist the pool of Applicants down to an approved number for funding allocation.
Supporting Documents
- Applicants can add supporting documents to their applications. Typical file types include Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, image files, and others, making it easier for information between Funding Bodies and Applicants to be referenced in one place.
Proxy Review
- When applications are received by the Funding Body, Assessment Panels may have the support of internal or external authorities. The Proxy Review feature captures this additional assessment to support the final decision by the Program Manager, or supersede it.
More Reference fields in templates
- If you've already detailed something in your Funding Program, we've added more Reference fields for you to drop into a template to automatically display the details in another form. Think of it as "single effort, double result" so you don't have to input the same information twice (or more).
Archiving for Portfolios
- As featured in other Grant Recipient record types, archiving of Portfolios and the ability to filter its Summary table view is now enabled for easier visibility of active Portfolios.
Product Maintenance
Security and stability
- SurePact is now more secure thanks to some critical assessments that helped us reduce the potential for malintent. Secured areas include permitted file types in Documents (eg. removing .zip and .txt files for Documents), Organisation modification, and user accesses and restrictions, making SurePact a more resilient platform.
Consistent user experience
- More date validations, consistent labelling and terminology, simpler email notification content, and archive filter for Portfolios, all leading toward a better user experience across the product.
